Read before Applying

1. Location

Every iteration of SOLIS is unique, but this one is particularly special: it will be played in the path of a real-life solar eclipse in Northern Spain on August 12th, 2026.

However, due to the rarity of total solar eclipses, lodging in the region is in high demand. We aim to host SOLIS at a historically apt venue such as a castle, palace, or monastery, but the exact location and price have not yet been determined. Thanks for bearing with us as we find the right setting for the magic!

2. Deposit

This story truly relies on every character’s presence. To ensure that all cast positions are filled by players who fully intend to complete the journey, we require a refundable $150 deposit and an application. If you’re selected to play, your deposit will count toward your ticket price, estimated between $1500 - $2500.

Your deposit will be refunded ONLY IF:

1) you are not selected to play,

2) you have a medical emergency (or other serious unforeseen circumstance beyond your control) that keeps you from attending, OR

3) this run of SOLIS is cancelled. (Solis forbid!)

3. Commitment

If you’re selected for this cast, your application and deposit will be considered a commitment to pay the remaining ticket price, get yourself to the event, and play the full 8-hour experience.

Applications are due by July 4. Once we announce your acceptance (no later than July 6), you are then responsible for making payment in full by July 10. (We’ll also recommend booking your airfare to Madrid at this juncture).

If you miss this deadline, your role will be given to the next eligible applicant, and your deposit will not be refunded. We hope not to have any cause for it, but this policy ensures a committed cast and a successful play.

July 6: Find out if you’re selected

July 10: Complete payment due (may be up to $2500, depending on venue)

Aug 11: Arrive at the venue by any means necessary

Aug 12: Play SOLIS

Aug 13: Depart the venue
